Waste Management

The Agnam-Goly village is confronted daily with the problem of domestic waste. People throw their waste not far from the surroundings of the village which is dangerous for their health and comfort. The idea is to define a remote landfill site where to collect, manage and recycle their domestic waste. The Agnam-Goly village has lots of donkeys that can carry away the waste. Specific carts are needed for that. Some jobless young people can carry away the waste to the landfill and get paid by each house. Once the waste is carried to the landfill, workers start the recycling process as plastic, metal, paper and organic wastes can be reused. For instance, organic wastes can be composted and used as fertilizers in the Agnam-Goly cooperative community garden.
