Adama Diop
Pellital President
Adama Diop was born and raised in the village of Agnam-Goly in Senegal. He studied English at Cheikh Anta Diop public university of Dakar and specialized in English-French translation. Adama is also the author of the popular wikipedia site about his village, and the Agnam-Goly official website. Currently, Adama is studying in Canada where he hopes to obtain the business skills necessary to contribute to the economic development and growth of his home community. Adama founded Pellital because he is passionate about helping to elevate his home community out of poverty and believes that people from within are the best drivers of change. Julia Kurnia
US based volunteer
Julia is from the United States. Julia is one of the co-founders of the Senegalese Ecovillage Microfinance Fund (SEM). She joined SEM in the summer of 2006, during the ten weeks she spent in Senegal working with clients and local partner associations to formalize lending procedures and the operations.
Currently Julia works as a Portfolio Analyst at the US African Development Foundation in Washington, DC. Prior to working with Pellital and SEM, she completed internships with the Millennium Challenge Corporation and with Seva Mandir, a rural development NGO based in Udaipur, India. Zeynabou
Pellital Local Responsible
Zeynabou Diop has been working in Microfinance since 2001. She is the financial administrator of MEC Felo, which is a mutual and savings bank in Agnam, the rural municipal community to which Agnam-Goly belongs. Zeynabou has the major task of responsibility for all Pellital's local money transfers and the related activities. She receives the funds that will be loaned to the entrepreneurs, monitors the progress and payments. She can be contacted at dd(dot)pellital(at)yahoo(dot)fr.
Moussa Diop is one of our a local loan officers and his mandate is to assist loan recipients in the successful planning and execution of their small businesses. Moussa is currently enrolled in a third year of Bachelor of Science in Management at the Polytechnic Institute of Dakar. He can be contacted at diop(dot)moussab(at)hotmail(dot)com.
