Marileen Bartlett

Marileen is Vice President of ABDC and Executive Director for the Centre for Aboriginal Human Resource Development (CAHRD). In her work with CAHRD, Marileen is responsible for individual and community development. Marileen is also Treasurer of the Aboriginal Council of Winnipeg (ABW).

Wayne Helgason

Wayne is President of ABDC and is currently the Executive Director of the very active and ever-expanding Social Planning Council of Winnipeg, a position he has held since 1994. One of his goals for SPC is to broaden its partnership base among its many stakeholders. Action-oriented research and support for community groups are key priorities. Prior to joining the Social Planning Council, he served as the Executive Director of Ma Mawi Wi Chi Itata Centre, an innovative Aboriginal child welfare agency. Other past employers include Northwest Child & Family Services, Child and Family Services of Winnipeg, and other human services organizations.

Damon Johnston

Damon Johnston is an ex-officio member of ABDC, providing advice and expertise when needed to the Board and Staff. Damon has a keen interest in Social Enterprise as a development model. Damon is President of the Aboriginal Council of Winnipeg.
